Have you seen Brent shadbolt’s substack, it kind of reminds me of yours. Personally I do not have the knowledge to evaluate anything but he had an interesting article about cosmic background radiation.
I think Gilbert was Bacon’s physician - or that might have been William Harvey, the guy who discovered circulation of the blood, which incredibly, took until 1600 or so to discover! (In ‘the West’). 😄

He became the personal physician of Queen Elizabeth, so it is likely he knew both.
